The Ford Escape is a compact SUV sold by the automaker Ford Motor Company . The all-new 2012 Ford Escape will be based off the Ford of Europe's Kuga. Not only will it be built in the USA for the North American market, but for export for Europe. Many different configurations will be available, including a new hybrid Escape. The new Ford Escape will be more fuel efficient due to their slightly smaller size than its previous models.
The engine options available in 2012 Ford Escape are 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that can produce up to 230 horsepower and 230 Ib-ft torque, the second option for engine is with 2.5 liter turbocharged 4-cyclinder or electric hybrid engine that can produce up to 153 horsepower and 136 Ib-ft torque. It has the standard six speed automatic transmission.
