BMW X6 50i has 4.4liter Biturbo 405bhp 0-100 5.4sec and S8 0-100 5.1 sec...so yeah....they are pretty close at lower speeds....When the new S8 comes out in 2011 it will have a tuned version of the TT 5.2 liter V-10 that the current RS6 has making between 700-730 bhp. Would like to see another race then. Twin turbos for everybody!!! Long live the horsepower wars!
Facts: Curb Weight X6 - 5324, S8 - 4586. Horsepower: X6 - 555, S8 - 450. Therefore power to weight: X6 - 9.59, S8 10.19. Quarter Mile: X6 - 12.81 @ 110.020MPH, S8 - 13.29 @ 109.7MPH. Conclusion from 0 to about 110 or so, the X6 simply outguns the S8
