Skoda VisionD @ 2011 Geneva motor show
Skoda hinted at a new model to fit between the Octavia and Fabia with the Vision D concept car at the 2011 Geneva motor show. It heralds a new design look for the brand, masterminded by Jozef Kaban. He promises future models will combine the spaciousness, authenticity and precision of the current range, but with some passion injected into the mix.
The VisionD offers a five-door hatch layout with a swooping rear section and a large glass panel that runs from the windscreen, over the entire length of the roof, down to edge of the rear hatch. With the five-door layout and short front and rear overhangs, Skoda says the cabin is capable of offering class-leading interior room.
Looking rather handsome, the Skoda VisionD was created under Skoda’s new design philosophy, a philosophy that is similar to Volkswagen’s current language but at the same time, one that distinctly separates the two companies.

The present-generation XC70 debuted in 2008. At first it was available only with the base, 235-hp 3.2-liter inline-6. But the following year Volvo brought out the more spirited T6 model with its turbocharged 281-hp 3.0-liter engine.
